A Chihuahua mix named Nessie McNubbins was born without two front legs due to neglectful breeding. Despite her disabilities, she remained a cheerful dog, waiting for a kindhearted person to rescue her from the shelter. Even though she got adopted before, she was also returned three times by different families. She could not understand why nobody wanted her. Fortunately, one family came along and gave her a loving home.
She immediately felt a sense of belongingness because her family also had two loving dogs with special needs. She might have spent eight years at the shelter but she never thought of giving up hope. When she was under the care of her new family, she was able to learn how to move around quickly without getting any help. She had always been a friendly dog who would greet anyone who stops by to see her.
During her stay at the shelter, three families expressed their interest in adopting her, but she would always end up being returned to the shelter a few days later. The shelter workers always feared that she might have the same experience with her new family, but Theresa Loyacano, her fur mom proved that this time, Nessie’s fate would change. When they contacted the shelter, they also learned about Nessie’s life and how she was returned by her previous owners for so many times.
They decided not to get their hopes up, but as soon as they saw Nessie, they instantly realized that she was a perfect addition to their family. She fell in love with Nessie that she immediately created social media pages for her and the pup became an instant celebrity. Since then, her family adopted more special needs dogs.
The affectionate Chihuahua did not have trouble getting along with her fur siblings. They bond and play together just like true brothers and sisters.
