There are a lot of apartments that have specific rules for staying there. Sometimes, these rules include not being allowed to keep any pets with you. When this happens, those who are dog-lovers have the choice of either going without one or choosing another place to live in. For a group of young engineers, they had to make do without having a doggie of their own, but they were lucky enough to make friends with a neighboring pooch to fill that void.
Sending out a letter
Four young engineers were staying at an apartment complex that didn’t allow any of their tenants to have pets. So when these dog-lovers saw that a lonely doggie was looking out at them through the window of their neighbor’s house, they decided to do something about it. They sent the dog’s owner a letter asking them if they could befriend the dog, and they got the most adorable response ever!
The guys got a handwritten letter in answer with a pawprint stamped on it. Apparently, the pooch, named Stevie Ticks, was excited to find out that they wanted to be friends and couldn’t wait to do so.
New buddies
Thanks to the leap of faith that the boys had in sending the letter, they were able to befriend the lonely doggie. As it turned out, the owners of this Labrador-German Shepherd mix were both health care workers who often had to leave the pooch alone. Thanks to Stevie Ticks’ newfound friends, afternoons haven’t been boring and lonely for the pooch anymore. The guys would often doggie sit and have a blast together while the pooch’s owners were still at work.
Friendly owners like the paw-parents of Stevie Ticks are an excellent way for those who don’t have doggies to get a chance to spend time with one. It is also an opportunity for these lonely dogs to have some company while their owners are away. Check out more about the story here:
