Dogs can be afraid of silly things, but we can never doubt their willpower. Even if the task at hand is literally bigger than them, they will always give it their all, especially if they know that it would make their humans happy. This is one of the many reasons why we absolutely adore dogs.
In the viral video below, the 4-month-old puppy, Gracie, had a huge task ahead of her, taking the newspaper from the driveway into their home. She had seen her doggie mom do this a hundred times. So at some level, she understood that this is their family’s tradition, and she wants to take part in it.
At her young age, Gracie is a pretty petite pup, but she never let that get in the way of pleasing her dad, Peter Schulz. In fact, she’s already been taking in the newspaper for quite some time. But she never experienced bringing in Sunday’s newspapers. This edition is pretty thick and heavy, and this was Gracie’s first encounter with it.
The tiny pooch was able to handle the other editions with ease. But just by looking at how huge the Sunday paper is, everyone knew that Gracie had her work cut out for her. It was twice as big as the pup’s body! But as we mentioned, little Gracie wasn’t about to give up without a fight.
At first, she let go of it. Perhaps she was bewildered as to why this edition was so heavy. Then Peter gave his pup some words of encouragement. He told her, “let’s try again,” and just like that, the pup got her second wind and attacked the roll of newspapers.
It was so adorable how she wrestled around with it. With a little coaching from Peter, Gracie was able to carry it towards their home. It was evident that she was struggling, as she couldn’t even walk straight. But that doesn’t matter; we all love Gracie for her courage.
