Mama Dog That Lost Her Babies During Labor Commits To Being A Surrogate Parent To A Litter Of Kittens

Mama Dog That Lost Her Babies During Labor Commits To Being A Surrogate Parent To A Litter Of Kittens

Paul M October 3, 2020

Losing people that you love could feel like it’s the end of the world. For sure this was how it seemed to this mama dog too when she lost her babies during labor. Yet despite whatever we are put through, we got to move on!

And thankfully, she got the best human to remind her that – Anita, the founder of Sunshine Dog Rescue!

According to her, when Georgia, the pooch, arrived in her place, she already had a feeling that there was something wrong. And when she did come to find out more about her, her suspicion was confirmed!

Georgia had lost her family – her babies! Anita did not know how to react to this. It was her first time getting to handle a pup with the problem. But even so, she was determined to help her overcome the pain which has obviously taken over her life.

Anita shares there had been actually many times they found her mattress all torn up perhaps after she’s tried finding her babies under it. And another thing is that Georgia always seemed so frantic!

Desperate then, Anita went to Facebook to ask for help. She called on to those who might know of orphaned puppies that needed a surrogate parent.

Unfortunately, nobody did step forward with doggies. The only lead they got was about a litter of kittens.

Though hesitant, Anita convinced herself that perhaps it would do. There had been other cases where such a relationship thrived so it might be worth a try.

Very carefully, and gradually then, they introduced the kittens to Georgia who as it looked, immediately took a liking to them! While one may not have survived on their first day, the other three managed to defy the odds and are now, with the delight of Anita’s team, quite well-adjusted to their new mother!

Over time, the staff’s also noticed improvements in Georgia’s condition. She’s become less anxious and also shows to be more open at present.

Well, indeed love just brings magic!
