An urgent call for help came through Hope For Paws’ hotline. The reporter claims to have spotted a lonely, abandoned dog living in the streets of Los Angeles, California. Quickly, Eldad Hagar and Loreta Frankonyte responded to the scene.
Once the rescuers arrived, they spotted the dog and realized how defeated she looked like. She rested on the sidewalk, probably waiting for someone to come and pick her up. Sadly, no one ever did.
Eldad and Loreta quickly inspected the yard to see if it could help them secure the dog. With the owner’s permission, Loreta lured the dog in. She offered her some food and made her follow her into a smaller alley.
Using some plastic fencing, Eldad secured the smaller area next to the building. The dog felt a little scared so she tried to escape. But when she realized she had nowhere to go, she sat in one corner and surrendered. Quickly, Loreta placed a leash around the dog’s neck and started calling her Cindy Lou.
Loreta sat with Cindy Lou on the ground for a few more minutes before heading out for the car. The rescuers scanned her, but she didn’t have a microchip. On their way to the rescue center, Cindy Lou relaxed and enjoyed some belly rubs from her newfound friends.
Cindy Lou felt excited about her makeover. Loreta trimmed her fur and gave her a much-needed bath right after. But more than that, the pup felt how it is to be loved again.
After receiving medical care, Cindy Lou proceeded to her foster home. Her newfound friends at Smooch Pooch Dog Rescue immediately realized that she’s one sweet and loving girl. And they knew it wouldn’t take long for her to find her forever home.
Soon, Smooch Pooch received hundreds of adoption applications. They screened every applicant to make sure they find the perfect match. And before anyone knew it, Cindy Lou already found her new forever home.
