A member of a film crew notified Hope For Paws about an injured homeless dog they spotted on-site. The woman said that they were in an industrial area, shooting for a film when the poor animal suddenly appeared. It took over an hour before the rescuers, Eldad Hagar, and Loreta Frankonyte, made it to the scene, and the Good Samaritan followed the dog and kept him in sight until they arrived.
Eldad ran to block the dog from running into the road. Huge trucks kept passing by, and he worried that the Pittie might suddenly bolt and get hit by a car. The dog was cautious, but he accepted the cheeseburger Loreta offered.
The female rescuer spent a few minutes with the white Pitbull. She worked on gaining his trust and assured him that he’s safe. But the leash spooked the dog, so he turned his back and walked away.
Despite his fear, the sweet boy has enough will to stay for some more food and affection. He trusted Loreta once again, and let her pet him. Moments later, Loreta saw the perfect opportunity and placed the Lucky Leash on the dog’s neck.
The group effort paid off, and everyone was ecstatic to see that the dog was safe. The Pittie willingly hopped into the Hope For Paws vehicle, and he was ready to leave his old life. On their way to the vet, Eldad and Lisa named him Wilbur.
Wilbur was an excellent patient. He let the vets do their job, and he remained to behave throughout. He was grateful for human kindness and knew that moving forward, life will offer him nothing but the best.
Right after receiving his medical clearance, Wilbur proceeded to his loving foster home. He spent a short while with them until Bark N’ Bitches found a fantastic family for him. Soon, Wilbur left and started a new life with his forever family.
