Gemma, the pit bull, has always acted as a big sister to Brianna’s son, Elliot. Since day one, Gemma has always been by his side. She watched him sleep and watched as Brianna would feed Elliot.
Gemma wants to make sure that Elliot is always safe so she constantly protects him. Gemma is always watching out for Elliot. When Elliot started to crawl up the stairs, Gemma would be there to block his way.
Gemma seems to have a sense of what is dangerous and what is safe for the little boy. It amazes Brianna how a dog gets to be such a great nanny. With Gemma around, Brianna might not need a babysitter for Elliot anymore. Gemma and Elliot’s bond is so strong.
It’s no wonder Gemma was not ready to see Elliot grow up. When Elliot started preschool, Gemma would be alone waiting for her best friend to come home.
Gemma would sulk all day as she waits for Elliot. It was hard for her family to watch her this way. Brianna felt sorry for Gemma, so she volunteered to foster a kitten named Boop.
When Brianna brought Boop home, Gemma immediately lit up. That was all she needed. All she needed was the company to prevent her from being lonely.
Gemma always wants someone to be by her side. In Elliot’s absence, Boop was there for her. Since Gemma and Boop so close, Brianna decided to adopt Boop instead. Boop became a foster fail.
Gemma will never be alone again because she has Elliot and Boop as her best friends. Gemma is very fortunate to have such a loving and close family.
Brianna is happy to see her son learned so much about friendship. Recognizing the relationship between her dog and her son is heartwarming. She hopes they stay close for years to come.
